hi to all the cold weather killed some of the snook but they will make it through this tuff time and with the new closed season! in place they will thrive again. right now is the time to fish for trout and redfish and also silver trout in the canals and docks of the tampa bay area. also the power plant areas will also hold trout and reds using live shrimp is your best bet also look for black drum around the same area. there are alot options out there to catch so have fun and lets go fishing.

Hi again to all.
Lets start out by talking about this cold front coming our way this weekend! On January 9-10, 2010 the low temperatures may kill snook who are already in danger from the low temps.
Lets hope the snook hang on in the cold weather. The best bite with the cold weather is in the canals of Tampa Bay and also the power plants of Tampa and Apollo Beach area.
The silver trout bite will be best in the deep water canals and deep the water around the power plants.
Also the sheepshead fishing should be good around the rocks and sea walls. The best bait for them is shrimp and small fiddler crabs.
Thats it for now stay warm out there and tight lines.

Hi to all.
Friday's charter brought a mixed catch. We caught big bonita and spanish mackeral in the bay. A llot of the spanish macks were on the large side!
The redfish bite has been good in south Tampa Bay area and we also caught some snook!
There is alot of big mangrove snapper in the bay area right now so right now we can target the fish of your choice.
Now is time to book your charter for the fall and winter season as the fishing will only get better.
Tight lines,
Capt Tony Frankland

The big snapper bite is going well. Also the small tarpon bite has been good in the Tampa Bay area. Snook are also biting! On my charter on Friday, we caught snook, big mangrove snapper, mackeral and some gag grouper. The redfish bite will get better as we get into early October when they move onto the flats. This a great time to book your charter now! Before the good tides get booked.
Tight lines,
Captain Tony Frankland
