The most common things targeted on my charter are:
 |
Snook
The
old linesider is by far my favorite game fish to catch. They are
distingishable by the black line that runs from their head to their
tail. They like to congregate on the mangrove shorelines and are the
premium shallow water game fish. As water temperatures drop they can
commonly be found up in rivers and inlets.

Redfish
Redfish
are known for their bronze body and black spot on their tail. When they
feed in shallow water you can often see the tips of their tails poking
out of the water. When you see "tailing" reds cast ahead of them.

Spotted Trout
Spotted
Sea Trout is one of the most sought after of the Florida game fishes.
They can be a lot of fun on light tackle and can be found on almost all
of the Florida coastal waters.

Jacks
Jack
Crevalle is a fun fish to land. They chase bait fish and crash into
their targets. A well placed lure or baitfish will surely induce a
strike. Once they strike it is pull pull pull.

Mangrove Snapper
One
of the smaller members of the snapper family, this snapper can be found
hiding near docks and rock pilings. They are known for their quit hard
hits on light tackle.
All-Tackle Record - 17lbs |
 |
Cobia
A sizable and plentiful game fish. Cobia are often found trailing messy eaters like stingrays.
All-Tackle Record - 135lbs 9oz |
 |
Spanish Mackerel
Absolutely
one of the best light tackle fish out there. They can pull some line
off of the reel in a real hurry. Use wire for a leader, these fish have
teeth that can shred monofilament leaders.
All-Tackle Record - 13lbs |
 |
Tarpon
The
silver king. The gulf coasts largest and toughest game fish. When you
hook a tarpon be ready to watch the show. This fish will break water,
do flips in the air, then go right back to pulling you right out of
your seat. This fish is sought after because of the intense knock-out,
drag-out fight it offers.
